R. Civ. P. 55. The first step is the entry of default, and the second step is a default judgment. But here, Plaintiff jumped over the first step, and went directly to step two. (Or, more accurately, Plaintiff seeks to combine the two steps into one. But that's not what the Federal Rules say.) The Court enters default against all Defendants except Defendant 7.us634. Defendants must file a motion if they seek a hearing on any forthcoming motion for a default judgment. If Plaintiff wants a default judgment, Plaintiff must file another motion under Rule 55(b). The Court reminds Plaintiff of the obligation to submit a Word version of a proposed judgment to the proposed order inbox.
