By August 13, 2021, Plaintiff must file a schedule that identifies, by defendant, the amount of funds frozen under this Court's temporary restraining order (Dckt. No. 22). Defendants' answers were due on July 15, 2021 (Dckt. No. 27), but they filed nothing, and Plaintiff has not pursued it. Plaintiff filed a motion for a preliminary injunction, and later filed a notice of dismissal of one or more Defendants (Dckt. No. 35), but Plaintiff's counsel neglected to submit an updated version of the proposed preliminary injunction order to this Court's proposed order inbox. That oversight required this Court to update Plaintiff's proposed order. Going forward, in any future case, if Plaintiff's counsel resolves a claim with a defendant while a motion for a preliminary injunction is pending, Plaintiff's counsel must submit an updated draft of the proposed preliminary injunction order. MINUTE entry before the Honorable Steven C. Seeger: On June 1, 2021, this Court granted a motion for entry of a sealed temporary restraining order. The Order made clear that the Court, and only the Court, had the power to unseal it: "this Order shall remain sealed until further ordered by this Court." See 6/1/21 Order, at 6 (Dckt. No. [22]) This Court sealed Schedule A, Exhibit 1 to the complaint, and an accompanying Exhibit 2 to the Groppe declaration, too, and the same restriction applied. But on June 24, 2021, Plaintiff's counsel took things into his own hands. Counsel filed something on the docket called: "UNSEALED Temporary Restraining Order." (Dckt. No. [31]) This should go without saying, but only a Court can file something called an "Order," unless a party is filing an order as an exhibit. Worse yet, Plaintiff's counsel took the liberty of unsealing this Court's Order. Plaintiff then filed an unsealed version of Schedule A, and an unsealed version of Exhibit 1 to the complaint and Exhibit 2 to the Groppe declaration, without any apparent authorization from this Court. (Dckt. Nos. [28], [29], [30]) By June 30, 2021, Plaintiff's counsel must file a statement explaining why Plaintiff's counsel filed unsealed versions of sealed documents without leave of Court, and addressing whether this Court should order appropriate relief.
