Kennelly: The motions by defendants "Mr. Hat" and "zhongguowenzhoucocomeizhuangyongpinyouxiangongsi" to vacate the default judgments against them are denied [dkt. nos. 91, 92]. Defendants largely rely upon contentions regarding inadequate service of documents that the Court has already considered and rejected. The Court held defendants in default because they failed to answer the complaint after their motions to dismiss were denied, and entered a default judgment because plaintiff established that a default judgment was appropriate. The Court notes that the amount of the judgment ($10,000 per defendant in statutory damages) was significantly lower than the amount sought by plaintiff ($250,000 per defendant). Defendants' remaining arguments for vacating the judgment are overruled.
