Philos & D, Inc., 645 F.3d 851, 857 (7th Cir. 2011). Even if the Court takes Defendant 86 York at its word that it is a sole proprietorship, which may litigate pro se, see United States v. ORDER : Given the number of Defendants in this case, the Court instructed the Plaintiffs to file a memorandum of law as to why joinder is appropriate under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 20(a)(2). ECF No. 23. That rule provides that multiple defendants may be joined in a single action if (1) the claims against them are asserted "with respect to or arising out of the same transaction, occurrence, or series of transactions or occurrences," and (2) there is a "question of law or fact common to all defendants." Fed. R. Civ. P. 20(a)(2)(A)(B). Plaintiff states that there have been indications of single or collective ownership of Defendants' webstores. See Pl.'s Mem. at 5. When Plaintiff attempts to purchase samples of counterfeit products on multiple platforms and ship them to a single address, Defendants immediately and collectively become aware of the fact that Plaintiff is attempting to gather evidence of trademark infringement, and they refuse to ship the products to Plaintiff. See id. In this particular way, Plaintiff has made a specific factual assertion that is consistent with a narrative of Defendants' collective cooperation and connection. This factual assertion, when viewed in the light most favorable to Plaintiff, is enough to make it plausible that the claims arise out of the same series of transactions and occurrences and that there is a question of law or fact common to all defendants. See Viamedia, Inc. v. Comcast Corp., 951 F.3d 429, 454 (7th Cir. 2020). Accordingly, the Court finds joinder proper. Signed by the Honorable John Z. Lee on 12/2/20.Mailed notice

This case remains closed.In December 2017, this Case was closed after Plaintiff failed to appear at two status hearings and otherwise failed to communicate with the Court. ECF No. 42.
